Those chapters feel overly stretched out. In short: Chapter 1 is about the MC’s abusive father selling her off to an enemy country, where everyone hates her. Her trashy husband takes numerous mistresses who constantly poison her. In c2, ML wants to save the MC and bring her back to her home country, but she rejects him because she despises her family, who never helped her. Later, ML kills the MC’s awful family, and the MC’s husband kills her. In c3, the MC returns to the past and begins praying at church. She also gets rid of her manipulative, only ‘friend.’ In c4, she meets ML and hints at her abusive family. It is also shown that her father is very controlling and the servants are disrespectful.
