Hello! Here are my thoughts on this manhwa.
Disclaimer: This is only my personal opinion. I don’t want to discourage anyone from reading it themselves—taste always differs from person to person.
First of all, the art is solid. While the designs aren’t particularly unique or outstanding, they’re clean and pleasant to look at, and I did enjoy that aspect.
That being said, I found the FL to be extremely frustrating. In such a dangerous situation, you’d expect her to use whatever resources she has around her to survive or at least gain some knowledge. Instead, she remains oddly passive, to the point where it feels unbelievable. Rather than showing agency, it feels like she just sits around, and that wasted potential really pulled me out of the story.
On the other hand, the villain feels equally inconsistent. If he’s supposed to be clever and manipulative, then carelessly leaving incriminating books and journals in plain sight doesn’t make sense. It weakens his credibility and makes him come across less as “dangerous mastermind” and more as “sloppy antagonist.”
I ended up dropping this around chapter 6, so I can’t say much about the ML. Honestly, by then I just couldn’t keep going.
So, if you’re looking for a smart, proactive FL or a story that avoids frustrating plot holes, this probably won’t be your cup of tea. That said, it’s still early in the story, so maybe it improves as it goes on—don’t let my review stop you from checking it out and forming your own opinion.
The author and artist clearly put work into this, and while it wasn’t for me personally, I do hope it finds its audience.
