My guess is due to the soul switching and the hate effect for foreign entities, but the mother and ravi prob thought it was due to the father, how else do u give logic to something so strange?

@Rynlie it was explained some time earlier that when the soul and the body dont match people are naturally creeped out and dislike the person.

In my opinion it has nothing to do with trauma or anything like that, because she love Ravi as single mother. I think it’s because the soul. It wasn’t the original soul, that’s why she can’t love her daughter.

It’s not only about PTSD, remember this is fantasy. Camilla’s soul was swap from original dimension therefore both of them weren’t welcomed by their “loved” ones no matter what they tried. After the both souls are in correct dimension, acceptance and adjustment are made in each, that’s why Camilla is now loved by their families and friends unlike before or in the “novel”. I’m pretty sure her mother would have loved her if it was the original soul.

I’m a mother, my family thought I’d have post partum depression because my ex was an awful human being especially to our child.
I did have depression, but I think my mental and moral wiring as me being an adopted child, my protectiveness to my weak and helpless child was much stronger than any depression.
I’ve been been through so much I can’t have this child feel abandoned or hurt in whatever form.
My daughter is now 12 although with mild autism she’s healthy and thriving.
Not all mother’s are like me though, I can’t see myself marrying anybody and truthfully a man’s touch makes me gag I don’t know why.
I think Camilla’s mom felt lonely, she also needed support be it emotional and financial support and all her anger was passed to her cause she can’t take her anger on her father who went MIA.

Idk for other sym as this story is not focusing on the mother character but some of chp shows that she tick the 2nd and 3rd pts. Her past villain actions isn’t really redeemable but fortunately and perhaps her death at young milf age is one of her way to repent the sins lol idk

Cant blame much the mother. 1st husband passed away for health reasons, leaving a son. A pretty single mother, easily attracting a pest like men can barely survived.
Saving a handsome man yet lost memory. The man alone act as defense to his saviour. Harbours feelings and attracted with each other, the mother fall in love again with his kindness and affection. Married for the second but leaving her to find work, by the time, there’s no news. She searched him yet no one knows.
With trust issues and pregnancy, the 2nd husband leave her with a daughter, end up being a single mother again with 2 kids. To survive and work, she leave the secluded place and meet her 3rd husband to settle down for a better living.
That explained why fl mother behaviour is madly sick bcs she IS SICK. Pregnancy and Post-traumatic stress disorder PTSD after childbirth is real thing.
Stress, anxiety, depression, irritability to stay alive with two responsibilities, while lost the main support system, loved one is also real. Financial issues, trust issues and so. A child that resembles the 2nd husband reminds her to root of pain and stuggle.
Ofcs her action towards the innocent kids is to blame but for her not to throw her kids in orphanage and survive alone or stay alive for me is admirable. Not everyone can have those patience in that hardship and situation.
But not treating her 3rd husband son and remove him from managing the house as a successor is a TYPICAL villain stepmother. But man, she is one of the strong mother character. (Although she doesn’t really give loves towards their childrens well, she did the bare minimum needs)
