It’s always weird with these stories. She has the information now. She has evidence. Why not share this information with people in power, like her father for example? Wouldn’t it be an easy thing for him to solve this? Wouldn’t it Rube really allow her to involve herself in something so dangerous without telling the Duke?

Being thought of first by SOMEBODY is exactly what Ravi needs to grow. Having SOMEBODY reciprocate his attention (the green gem safety bracelet) in an obvious way is exactly the type of cue he needs to feel that his effort was appreciated.
There’s also a Korean (maybe East Asian, but I saw it first from manhwa so that’s how I perceive it) concept of a ‘fox pretending to be a tiger’. Saying it openly that he’s not a tiger, but a fox with his own merit–and have the TIGERS envy that–yeah, that’s exactly what Ravi needs.
