Some spoilers: Brother dead. Sister pregnant and locked up. (More next paragraph.) Father dead, I think I don’t remember. Stepmother, reputation ruined and sent away basically locked up. (More below.)
Sister married that blond guy, I forgot his name but you remember than he’s MC’s ex-fiancee. He also dies, I think I can’t remember. But his family name is useless. His entire family died or is locked up, I think. The bxtch sister is locked up and pregnant. She tries to mess with mc one last time by using the media to try to force mc to adopt her child before she’s executed. But mc used that bxtch’s own words against her. She said that she wanted her child to go to her family and that mc was the only family she had left. She was trying to make mc look bad in the press because if mc turned down the request she would look heartless but mc also can’t do that because she is the duchess. She can’t adopt that bxtch’s child without ml. Mc and ml both don’t want that bxtch’s child to be the duke’s heir. So mc was able to find her step-cousin, her first life husband’s brother who is a knight. He adopts the child and goes to live elsewhere away from the capital. Mc was able to outmaneuver that bxtch, and that bxtch died angry.
The “Fraser Fortune” was actually mc’s mother’s money. Mc’s father married mc’s mother but then met the mother’s childhood frenemy, mc’s stepmother. Mc’s stepmother started having an affair with the father. They plotted to kill the mother and when mc was born they tried to kill her. I think it was the nurse that stopped them. Some superstition or something. I can’t remember but eventually mc reveals this entire story in the newspaper and the bxtch stepmother is sent away. When she is, there is no one to say good bye to her, except mc. Mc threw it in her face, saying stuff like “look at the children you poured your time and effort into loving and raising and they’re not even here to see you off because they care more about their reputations.” The bxtch stepmother left and was sad and angry.
Yes, I read the novel. I don’t remember it very well.
