Something doesn’t make sense. In the earlier chapters, we learned that Esther was found by the temple priests then taken to the temple, but here supposedly this Lucifer guy was essentially human trafficking via selling the kids. Is it that the kids had no idea that they were being sold off and this Lucifer guy sets up the trade like a chance meeting so if the kid somehow manages to escape they can’t rat him out?
This section kind of feel like it wasn’t really thought out and was just added to have some kind of lead/connection to Irene and her sister. Also how does Dewin not know about Irene’s sister? One would think that he would at least be somewhat aware of the members of his wife’s family.

Esther is actually the Grand Duke’s niece and the HALF SISTER of the fake blondie Saintess. Esther’s mother was blondie fake’s father’s mistress and the sister if the grand dikes wife, Irene.

Also we know that Blonde Fake’s family produces saintesses every 3 generations because of a blessing so if the Blondie’s father kept his pants on, Esther wouldn’t have been born and the Fake Blondie would’ve been the saintess.

The FL is the daughter of the Sister of duke’s wife. So the duke is her aunte husband .and FL is half-sister of the blonde one(villeness)🙄🙄

Basically, Esther is the Duke’s niece. She’s the daughter of his late wife’s sister. That’s why the Duke can see some resemblance. Her mother, Catherine, is already dead, Esther’s biological father is Duke Brions, Rabienne (the fake saintess / villainess of this story) so basically Rabienne and Esther are half siblings.

Irene was his wife’s name. So I’m guessing Esther looking so much like the late Duchess wasn’t a coincidence. We need to know when and how the Duchess died to confirm but I’m sure y’all are thinking what I am thinking.
