i dont think the maid turn concubine will ever be empress bc nobles want a noble on the throne but if emperor is idiotic enough to do it then only digs up why the illegitimate needed mc in first place, legitimacy. no noble will want a illegitimate emperor with a commoner maid as empress even if she has a son. i literally think the reason he want to be with this maid is because he feels powerful in her presents, he’s not half-noble in her eyes. cant wait for their downfall
