some of you guys don’t seem to realise that just because you’re smart and have 3 thesis, doesn’t mean you know everything. she might be a quick learner, but her true intelligence will be based in the subjects that she wrote her thesis on

@critique Ur right tht the author doesn’t kw how to write a smart character, just saying she has 3 thesis as evidence isn’t enough, U want to see their smarts actually being used ligh light from death note, but regardless the FL is smart she does 3 thesis and yeh she has every right to brag about it cuz who wudnt, also yes the emperor is smart but since he regressed so many times he probably just plans accordingly to his past lives so he’s not that smart. One of the knights did say her intellect wud be useful to him (I think) but if he was that intelligent he wudnt really need it wud he?

There’s a difference between book smarts and life experience/street smarts.
She’s a genius with the book smarts.
She’s also good at noticing something isn’t right .
ML isn’t book or people smart. He has some knowledge as a regressor but keeps making dumb choices based on past knowledge. He’s probably a sword genius, and strategist.
There’s just different types of smart.

@Critique Found the incel mysoginist. She even laid it out in the chapter – she had published three Thesis on separate subjects by the age of 20. If we were to equate it to the modern day, that would be the same as obtaining 3 PhD’s by the age of 20. It’s completely silly in a realistic world, but that is evidence of her intelligence in world.
The Emperor is also objectively stupid. He has the advantage of being a regressor/returner – his battlefield exploits came from knowing exactly what would happen, and he murdered his family to obtain the throne after multiple lives. Even with his foreknowledge he couldn’t see through the Etiquette teacher, and needed that knowledge to track the fraud, where the FL discovered it in a matter of days on reviewing the documents.
TL;DR? Stay mad incel.

How exactly is she supposed to be smarter? Just because she calls herself to be and everyone just keeps repeating it? Till now I have not seen her do anything which can be classified as “smart”. Sure, she caught on to embezzlement of money after the math was not adding up… but what is so smart about it? Any person who pays enough attention will get to know it. The only smart thing I would consider would be her thesis papers… but what were they on? We don’t know. But we have to believe that she is the greatest genius. She just comes off as a narcissist. First I used to think it was for comedy when she said she is smarter than the emperor but now I am seeing her say this on every chapter dead serious. Yes, we get it. She is a genius. You don’t have to keep reminding us about it every chapter. This constant reminder is only needed if you can’t write a smart character and it clearly shows. Also, the life of a commoner will be way more difficult than a noble lady’s. Jayden is a d*ck regardless but this dialogue exchange really didn’t fit well with me. Till now they had to make other characters incredibly dumb to make the FL seem smart and yet she didn’t show actual ground intelligence compared to the emperor. Dude spent most of his life in the battle field and yet takes rational decisions leaving no lose ends and now this so smart person is messing everything up leaving too many loose ends. The emperor was also nerfed into this obedient dog so I guess in this aspect fl is smarter as she is not so foolish to forget herself in love.
Tldr; I am not sold on the “FL is a genius” part.
