@EccentricFox he is not a real Wing, The Nine Wings are kind of like nine Angels that guard the Goddess’ chosen. Therefore each of the nine wings have control over different fundamental aspects in the universe. Just like Noel has control of water and Ahin has control over wind, the other seven wings hshould have different abilities corresponding to their relavance to their role in protecting and uplifting the Saint. Only 3 Wings, from the 8 Wings other than Noel are actual Wings. The rest are scum given superpowers by an ancient dark spirit to support the false Saint. Apart from Noel, Ahin and two others happen to be real Wings. This is the reason that Ahin was able to hear the voice of Leticia at the border of the Empire and also why his powers are directly tied to Leticia’s will.

Spoiler alert: Tenua was never chosen as a wing. half the wings were given powers by magic, not holy power. this becomes apparent when it shows that each wing has different abilities. Tenua and Ahwin both use wind, which shows one of them is fake. also, Leticia’s mother didn’t start to go crazy until after she was born so the father isn’t really at fault. i’m guessing he’s dead but idk

I wanna know how Tenua was chosen as a wing. Clearly the host of the goddess’ personality doesn’t affect how the wings are, otherwise Ahwin would be just as bloodthirsty as Tenua is. And he’s not. So clearly the wings can have their own identities and personalities. And since wings are supposed to be the caretakers of the goddess, having Tenua as a wing just really makes it seem like the gods are immoral and tyrannical, allowing such behavior. I’m surprised it hasn’t been brought up to anyone’s attention, but the current (fake) Saintess is giving the goddess a hugely horrid, negative, and venomous reputation. And nobody brings it up, nobody talks about it, nobody in the Empire or outside finds it strange? Especially given their own history says the goddess isn’t like that in the slightest?
