So from what I’ve gathered, no spoilers just inferences from information they’ve given us this far…. He’s from our world, he’s been summoned here by the gods or reincarnated with memories by the gods. His talent broke down his outer “frame” a natural barrier that prevents you from being influenced by other forces “gods”. When he runs out of mana, he ends up relying upon the god’s power who probably is the one responsible for bringing him here. This gives the god the ability to influence his mind/soul. So at several points in his life this god or multiple gods have hijacked his body and done bad things. He desperately needs these mana pills to prevent himself from going berserk/possesed. Idk if he went berserk when he killed her mother…. But that’s for us to find out later.
