ok, so preliminary guess here, 1st timeline i think she actually stabbed herself, probably after discovering, or using a special method to ensure, that her mind would be sent back in time. it would explain the blade she swung down in the odd reverse grip in the 1st chapter. for whatever reason she isnt remembering everything, plus a lifetime of misunderstandings so she thinks he stabbed her instead.
