Pay attention to flower meanings here–although it has white flowers, that’s not a chinese ‘mourning’ bouquet. No chrysanthemums, no lilies. Mostly tulips, daisies, and bellflowers.
Bellflowers can mean longing for a friend to return/honesty and obedience/hope and endless love.
Tulips are predominantly a flower of joy and positivity, a celebration flower.
Daisies (not chrysanthemums) are about motherhood, or condolance/solidarity during funerals. They’re flowers for the living, not the dead.
Probably the most put-together manhua I’ve read so far.
