I hate it when authors write situations like this. 1. She’s not dressed like a maid, why would he mistake her for one? 2. She’s to young to be a maid that would attend to him. She’s about the age of a scullery maid or worked in the kitchen. 3. Why doesn’t he have a personal maid or valet to attend to him?
