Just once, it would be really cool if in a manga, the siblings are actually all really good to each other. So many times in mangas like this, it’s one sibling against them all. They had the chance to unite the siblings under all the trauma that their father has instilled in them and their mother’s death. They could’ve had Amelia escape and one of the conditions be that Count Domine helps get her sisters out of that house and into good marriages or a home of their own. All they had to do was have the sisters be really close from the very beginning, but no, one had to be the quiet one and the rest be mean or indifferent. Then they could become minor characters that also helped drive the plot.

I kinda get why she wants to make her stance clear. She’s saying it more for herself than them, proving her resolve is stronger than her father’s abuse.
Plus, if at any point she’s accused again, she doesn’t wanna leave ANYTHING that could be twisted into another crime.

She could agree to write letters, give them to the count to read before their sent so he can approve of the info she’s “leaking” to her father. Than have him also read any letters she gets so that he knows what if any info she gets.
