What’s wrong with the aunt? It doesn’t matter how mad she is at the father, or the stepmother. But the children are innocent. In fact, it’s exactly because the father and stepmother were like that that she should try her best to save the siblings from the evilness of the stepmom. Even is she was upset at her sister for marrying an incompetent man, the children are still innocent. So she would rather just watched them suffer and die?

I feel like the aunt was to hard on her niece’s. I can get why she doesn’t like her younger sisters family. If my sister ran off and got married I’d probably be just as upset as she is, but that doesn’t change the fact that her niece’s are innocent. ¯\_ಠ_ಠ_/¯
