Wow this was a big chapter. I like how this turns the usual summoned hero story upside down by saying we are just normal people and NOT responsible for saving others. I do think she is shortsighted about love though. There are so many kinds and ways to love. She missed them, was overjoyed to be reunited, wanted to save them, and was willing to sacrifice herself for them. If that’s not a form of love, idk what is. I only half understood what the high priest was saying. Something like the CP’s love was selfish because he didn’t free her like all the other acarnas of the past? It’s really a sick and twisted system that they keep kidnapping people just to drain them of their blood. And does that mean there are returned acarnas in the story’s real world that have to deal with the trauma and PTSD of going thru all that crap? Yikes.
