That is the gem we see Karmen holding during the execution. So while the Empress believed they executed Chervain, in reality, she was only regressed to her 5-year-old self. That is the whole thing with synchronization. She will keep synchronizing as she matures until she reaches the age she was executed and then synchronization will be complete.

There’s a concperaty here. I would say that it’s the empress which can still be true but her dad knows so there’s something going on for sure. Hmmm…
