Why didn’t duke kill the priest or threatened then to stop giving donations of they leak anything out????

I know it’s only been 24 chapters but why hasn’t any steps been taken (or shown) to punish that corrupt temple and a$$h*** priest?
I would also like to see that old family suffering more. We only saw in the beginning when they just found out about their financial problems. I want to see them suffering because of that.
