🔽 It’s true, but kids are better at moving on quickly and forgetting. (Or at least pretending), I’ve had step moms I really like leave, I know their better off away from my pos father, but they were the only thing sort of protecting us from him when he had visitation. At first, I felt betrayed that they got to get away while I was trapped, but in hindsight I’m not their kid and trying to get involved with protecting me would drag them down and only cause trouble.

Sorry but a part of me view the FL hypocrite, from the previous chapter she saying that she don’t want to give false hope for the boy as it will hurt him, now she change her mind but still wanting to leave. Does she think it will not hurt?
