This actually feels like a brilliant way to end the story. I know that it doesn’t but that felt like a good ending. No need to prove who she ends up with or anything just a sweet “I saved the world” and you can imagine how it actually ends.
Come to think about it… that’s a brilliant argument to the god/author. “The world doesn’t end at the end of the story, readers imagine what it’d be like to continue.” So the story shouldn’t ever have an end.
