@clipboard Your assumption is wrong, dragons find mates because they are basically immortal and for them to gain the peace of death they must unite with a mortal and that will greatly lower their lifespan bringing it to mere mortal level rather than the infinite unless killed they have, akelanse in is first life wasn’t rebellious or anything, he was just almost emotionless, cold and pragmatic and while he did see what fl was going through with what he knows o her, he was sure that she will prevail so no need for him to help someone who doesn’t need it and since he didn”t understand feelings, he kept on bringing her down with logical remark rather than emotional one so that she’ll improve herself rather than to hurt her since he doesn’t care about anyone, he wasn”t aare of the consequences or impact of is scathing comment

Let’s think about it this way. As the dragons have longer life spans, it might take longer time for them to become mature. In the past life, ML said he didn’t accept FL because he didn’t want to obey the elder dragons or followed old tradition. This soulds like a teenager in his rebellious phase. I know most readers hate ML, but what were you like when you were a teenager? Were there times when you were a real pain in the neck and did the opposite of what they were told? Did you appologize to your parrents years later?

Screw the plot twists.
I want a flashback from Akalan’s perspective, showing his reaction when he found out she un-alived herself (not just dramatic metaphors with flames and ‘blood on his head’), how long it took him to figure out just how badly he fucked up (because with dragons you never know), and how long it took him to decide what to do about it (ditto). I have a feeling they’re saving *that* for some kind of dramatic redemption, but I want it NOW so I can decide how much time this story is worth wasting (and yes, I’m aware that’s some kind of contradiction. I stand by it).

I was sooooo hoping they’d make the yellow dragon try to claim FL/ use her as a pawn by making her “his” empress that would’ve been such a cool dynamic that would’ve led to a lot of other plots, but no ofc not 😞
