Actually it wasn’t uncommon for nobles and royals to be married off at young ages, both girls and boys. Several were married even as infants. And it wasn’t uncommon for those marriages to be dissolved and new ones made as family influences changed. The children were rarely actually with their spouses families until they were at least 16, a few were younger, but it wasn’t common. As for commoners 16 and older were much more common marriage ages, and even then 16 was thought to be too young.

@dididiego if it helps, in the west, it was pretty rare for people under 16 to marry. Adulthood was tied to puberty rather than age, and consent was a requirement for both bride and groom. Even when marrying young (12-14yr old), the couple was typically close in age. In later medieval times, it was considered bad to have young teenage girls give birth, as the babies were frail, so young marriages became even less common.
Royals & wealthy people would do some sketchy stuff, but they were the exception, not the rule.
