Honestly, growing up, one of my biggest fears was losing my memory once I learned that amnesia (as well as dementia) existed. Because I was very much a wallflower with a people-watching hobby, so even as a child I learned that there were a lot of adults who lied, stole, cheated, were good parents, etc.
So the idea that I could lose my memory and be beholden to the whims of anyone around me, leaving me vulnerable, scared me more than anything else. This reaffirms why.

The mean girls disrespected his choice of empress, but given the dragon-life pearl bond lore, the ML’s behavior aligns with it. This world isn’t like ours, so judging him by our standards doesn’t fit. Plus, it’s refreshing to see an ML act unexpectedly.
