Tbh, I would support translations more directly if I could, but websites like these are just more convenient and have everything I like in 1 place vs. Going to 50+ sites with paywalls to check for individual updates. Plus, official translations are not always good, I bought some YOTD paperback manga and the eng trans don’t make sense 💀, plus internet trans also teach you about cultural things, inside jokes, euphamisms, and puns from the og language that wouldn’t make sense in eng with their lil notes. Ex: __ (Korean word/character) sounds/looks similar to __ (diff funny Korean word).
