You are mistaken. The cult has not strayed way from war, nor is the cult leader opposed to it. He has previously stated this himself. He is simply biding his time for the perfect opportunity to act. He has been observing everything closely and is aware that conflict will eventually reach the demonic cult. This is why he ordered the third young master to eliminate certain factions within the demonic sect, as well as to deal with the enemies who had infiltrated the cult.
He would take action on his own hands if necessary, but he had a reliable disciple to carry out his orders. Observe the master; he truly behaves like a deity, so why would a god be in a hurry? The main character clearly has plans for revenge, but these intentions don’t necessarily contradict the goals of the demonic cult; they simply have a different approach to it. This was even clarified a few chapters ago. As a cult leader, one must consider all the lives involved in a conflict. This is likely why the demonic god or cult leader has been taking his time. It seems he is patiently waiting for the enemy’s arrival, fully aware that it is inevitable.

true idk about you @yujigirl but considering that the demonic cult has decided to stray away from war and he intends to put them in one seems pretty selfish imo and i feel like the current demon lord sees that and isnt particularly a fan
