I highly recommend the Novel in place of the manhwa. It has much more emotions and details when compared to the dull, poorly translated manhwa.

In the previous chapter:
Anji recalls the content of the letter her father had sent her and is feeling melancholic because the letter said that she’ll return in an year and she’ll marry some divorced rich man. Anji was conflicted, she Didn’t want to leave and return to a world so different from her current one, but as a noble, it’s not easy to give up her status. She doesn’t want to betray Aiden and leave him alone, especially after he confided in her, she said she’ll compensate him, but still feels horrible. She feels confused because of Aiden’s affection and is afraid she’ll get used to it. Anji then starts biting her nails out of habit, Aiden catches her in the act and takes care of it(a lot of cute stuff happen) Anji says that if he ever gets hurt, she’ll do anything to help him, that was the moment when Aiden decides to conduct an accident injury during work. Anji, again, feeling guilty about leaving Aiden in an year decides that he won’t feel lonely if he has other friends.
