In my opinion, she shouldn’t be with Kyle. He’s good for her he’s sweet, has a good heart, and genuinely loves her but his mother is the problem. She can’t accept Leyla because she isn’t a noble woman and can’t seem to do anything to please her. I understand why his mom might dislike her, but honestly, I haven’t read the novel yet, so I’d probably understand the situation more if I had.
Still, it feels like Leyla only agreed to marry Kyle for Uncle Bill’s sake and to make Kyle happy not because it’s what she truly wants. She’s still young and deserves so much more after everything she’s been through. Like I said, I need to read the novel to know more, but from what I can tell, Kyle’s mom is selfish and only thinks about what she wants for him not what actually makes him happy. Kyle isn’t a little boy anymore; he has the right to make his own decisions.
I can already tell he’s going to be so hurt by what’s to come. Why can’t they just be happy? I do support Kyle and Leyla in a way, but at the same time, I don’t really see much chemistry between them. If there was chemistry, Leyla would be in love with him but she’s not. I feel bad for both of them. Sometimes people do things just to make others happy or because they feel pushed into it.
I don’t blame Kyle he’s a softhearted person and in love. I just hope he finds true happiness and learns to distance himself from his mother, because she is not a good one.
