We all know that he doesn’t do shit about that situation in the novel, but I’m still thinking that some of the phrases he says between this and the last chapter reveals that he “may” do something about. It’s so weird that he looks so worried but not worried at the same time it’s so confusing.
Matthias won’t do anything. Leila’s downfall works in his favor so she doesn’t have to leave and he keeps her in a “cage” like his yellow bird. He’s a worthless ML. He will change near the end of the novel but he’s mostly a piece of shit.
