Tangent, but there really are people with bad facial recognition, same as any other processing difficulty-dyslexia, aphantasia (limited or lack of a visual imagination), proprioception challenges…

Facial recognition is another spectrum. On the extreme high end, you get people who can recognize minor details of individual faces after one look. On the extreme low end, you get prosopagnosia, or face blindness–where, having known her all you’re life, you couldn’t describe your mother’s face if your life depended on it.
