1. How long will Penelope suffer?
At the Duchy? Until after her coming of age ceremony.
Until the end of the story? A long, long time.
2. Who is truly on her side?
Maid Emily, Crown Prince Kallisto, & Reynold (believe it or not). (Winter too shortly after “the incident.”)
Some things to look forward to:
* Yvonne’s truth being exposed to everyone. (It will take a while, but it does happen.)
*The Eckarts having their spirits throughly broken, their name drug through the mud, & Penelope leaving them. (Reynold will suffer for his crimes & admit his mistakes. For this I can forgive him. The Duke does as well. Derrick is just a bastard.)
*Penelope FINALLY being free to live her life, make her dreams a reality, find real friends, & eventually marry Kallisto. (They also have a cute daughter named Edith.)
