This chapter definitely just summarises what their relationship really was in the first place. She never genuinely loved him, and honestly I understand why because of the crazy situation she is in. But like, it was unfair to Eclis. 100% being in love with someone is a very big devotion. Like the deeper you fall, the more it hurts. But when your lover falls with you, it becomes manageable. However, Eclis knew from the start that Penelope never liked him. But she kept actively trying to break his walls, untill he was drowing in love for her. But no matter how deep he fell, he could never be at 100% for her, because Penelope was never at 1% for him.
