Being treated like a human is a recent thing and few are sincere about (Callisto, her maid, the adoptive father and brother are slowly starting). Anybody would just want to give up after so long… its lucky Callisto has managed to reach her heart slowly, im counting on him to make her want to live and try again at being happy

Maybe its cause you lack life experience and your life is mostly happy things. But IF you could really feel a character you wouldnt have said anything like that.
Penelope has suffered enough, has feared for her life all the time. Every person at that point would give up and want to die. Thats a very REAL feeling. If you only want to have fairy tails, then you should read children books.
Penelope acting the way she is makes sense, anyone in her position would be fed up and just want it to end, giving up on people. She can’t even die, the system won’t allow it, she doesn’t even want to fight the FL. In her situation, she’s not an overpowered protagonist, ofc she would feel overwhelmed, any person would.

But despite that she keeps her distance from crown prince because she love him and dont want to be a relationship with pretext of completing this game she want genuine lave bw them. If she wanted she could have gone cp way to end this all but she refuse him to date bc she genuinely loves him
