This is awful. She kills herself to build a career and reputation and loses her position to a man (albeit a qualified one) who patronizingly declares not that she should be a partner but that she should work harder for the firm. W. T. F. Not to mention all the stupid get married bs. Usually these are pretty easy to read but this sort of thing happens all the time in real life and is so frustrating to read. I hope she leaves the firm, starts her own practice and tells her father to F off with his plans to marry her to a stranger he hardly knows.
