If she can spend this money to find dirt on her husband and force him to initiate the divorce, she will only have to pay 1 billion instead of 5 billion. Spending 3 thousand to save 4 billion is not “wasting the money” 🙄
On other note, it is quite frustrating that the first person she meets is the classic ‘handsome, black hair, blue eyes (probably) duke’. How do these FL always find dukes to help them solve their problems…
As far as I understand, her dad got a huge debt and she had to marry a wealthy commoner to clear it. So currently there’s no debt, but there is a huge financial settlement if they break the marriage. And she said she doesn’t want to give him that much money in the divorce. Now she’s looking for a way to make him file for divorce, which may require her to spend some money.

Isn’t she supposed to save to pay of the debt after divorce why is she wasting the money?
