Well…. i guess i could say she deserve it?
I am also a child who was left in my fathers care because my mom chose to leave us for some guy who can provide her what she needs. If she ever goes back at us again ang begs for forgiveness of course I’ll make her fell the biggest guilt she ever felt. So the emperor must be feeling like this now.

@Marigold from what we know the youngest she could have given birth was 14, but it was likely 15 yes because she became pregnant soon after and she was very young.
I get wanting to sympathize with the ml but the point of this plotline is to show him that in his pain, he has become no better than his father. His mother being an elder figure did not negate her victim status. He may have been a lonely child, but unlike the fl who truly had nothing, he was not alone. That is why the ED took the gamble she did. And I don’t care what storyline I read, it won’t make me start arguing that a pregnant child should have known better and or stood up to the abuse she was forced into, lmao

No matter how much of a handsome face he is he still a man which means trash
Marigold
If I had to guess his mother was around 15 when she came? Assuming the Emperor was 3 when she turned 19. Did I read that wrong?

I get the emperor hating his mother then but it wasn’t all her fault is was still young and her hometown was what she felt could comfort her , but am not justifying what she did to the emperor that shit was also bad

@Kohjeen I think it’s just hard to forgive her. Even adults have difficulty dealing with something they have experienced since childhood. If he did send her home, it feels unfair for him to see her happy when he suffered, he lashes out now and avoids understanding and forgiving what his mother has done. I’m not a psychologist but I think they just have a lot of miscommunication to start forgiving the past

Okay, I get the ML’s backstory is justified and allat, but holy sht he’s still an asshole with his mother. He is currently an adult and mature enough to know his mother was too young to have him and couldn’t treat him right, yet he decided to make his mother suffer more by never allowing her to return to her homeland, the one place he knows will make his mother have peace of mind and happiness 🤦♂️
