Haejun’s mother is living vicariously through him, pushing her own ballerina dreams onto him. She views him as an extension of herself, not as a separate person with his own will. She completely disregards his own desires and the fact that he has a right to control his own body. His resistance to her control has triggered her (u can see by the way her fingers are bloody she probably dug her nails into her palms to hard) this women has a unhealthy obsession with dance and needs extensive amounts of therapy.
