imo it’s the dad and the older brother, the younger 2 with Jade just couldn’t get why their mum suddenly passed away.
Then without properly addressing Jade confusion because she really wants her to be his sister, he left for war, that did not help his mentality. Yeah he is wrong, it just he is the one of the three that knew what happen and behaved genuinely lost at everything and can’t process his emotions.

I mean, if I was jade, I would have never given into those rumors. Despite not being of of the same blood, their mother treated Olivia like a daughter and even introduced her as a sibling to her other children. Why couldn’t Jade just accept his mother’s wishes and repect her her sacrifice? His fater could have very well killed his mother to avoid the shame of annulment of their marriage. Why couldn’t he look into his mother’s accident? Why blame an innocent girl who never asked for anything? I really don’t understand.

just how it is with nobility why admit your wrong when you have a scapegoat or why blame a mere accident as that an accident or poor decision on her part for going out in it when you can blame the thing you brought in to comfort her in the first place he brought her in then forgot about her his wife took care of her he didn’t realistically he has had no feelings toward the girl from the start only did it for his wife that was it his sons an other daughter or his own blood she is not so blame her for it
