Reincarnated as “Asella”, the Spirit of the Wind, she was just an extra in the novel and the weakest of the Spirits. Asella was so powerless that she was constantly being harassed by her fellow Spirit companions, but she swallowed down her rage in order to survive. As per God’s will, every Spirit is to make a binding oath with their fated knight, but as it turned out, Asella made a pact with none other than the prestigious Commander of the Empire’s troops, “Lasez Siertensia”!! “Lasez? Doesn’t his Spirit die during the first battle?” In order to survive, she’ll have to start by breaking the oath binding her to Lacez. Fortunately, the two of them, not wanting to have anything to do with each other, decide to keep the pact until they are both out of harm’s way. Until then, they agreed on a “temporary alliance”! After many twists and turns, the end of their temporary pact has finally come, and Asella is about to annul the oath at last, but Lasez’s attitude suddenly changes! Out of the blue, he declares that he cannot cancel the oath anymore! On top of that, her second knight, Kairos, that she somehow picked up along the way, pushes out Lasez claiming that he’ll become her first knight. Even the crown prince, who was the original male lead, and Edward, the playboy of the Empire, beg her to take them as her knight. Same goes for Herhuis, a high-ranked Spirit who’s starting to get jealous of all these men surrounding Asella. A myriad of men reaching out to Asella, who used to be a derelict and useless Spirit! For her who was just trying to quietly survive in this novel, her life ended up taking a burdensome turn… “Don’t be obsessed with a spirit like me!”

I really tried to like this one b/c my friend is a fan and recommended it to me but I’m just being honest when I say this story is one plot device after another. And the FL is a fricking doormat but somehow that’s a virtue (for example, a guy throws a knife at your face because he has issues but you smile and offer it back to him the next time you see him? Yeah, f*ck off. Oh but that encounter leads to a beneficial relationship? He’s one of the male leads? Yeah, screw you, he threw a f*cking KNIFE AT YOUR FACE AND NEVER APOLOGIZED AND OMG ARE YOU FRICKING KIDDING ME!?). Honestly, all the characters (save perhaps two) are bonafide a**holes. And if you’re wondering which 2 characters escaped my a**hole list, I’ll tell you that one has blue hair and the other has the same hair color as the FL. The whole story is about a knights order and their military exploits but the author clearly has no idea how military chains of command work. Honestly, I know a lot of these manhwas require you to turn off your brain for enjoyment, but this one kinda goes beyond my scope of tolerance. On a positive note, though, it’s definitely fantastic (as in fantasy fantastic). If you’re one of those people who love special effects in movies and are willing to throw away a chunk of plot for the spectacle the effects provide, then you will likely enjoy this. I will recommend it to SE lovers. However, if you do not, then you may struggle with the (often irrational) storyline like I did. Anyway, that’s my honest review of this manhwa

There’s one thing that bothers me about this story are how the spirits act towards the fl. They are supposed to be heavenly beings, why are they all aholes? I get it once they’ve been on earth and around humans they become more corrupt, but that shouldn’t happen until much later.

almost all of them sound like trashy MLs. for now I hope she chooses the 2nd knight who seems to be the least problematic and most sincere.
