   There are a lot of unexplained events here. It’s difficult to tell what’s going on plot-wise. This story was a flop with the first chapter and has since only gotten worse.

      Hard agree. I can’t follow easily. She goes from one day not knowing anything or anyone to suddenly knowing a prominent character and introducing him to the reader? There is a story here, I can see the attempt, but the storytelling is incohesive.
