But… but he knows she’s been dealing with the Duke and Duchess’s work while he was away at war, it’s why he made a fuss about taking them back (and why he’s making a fuss about attempting to give them back to her). I’m sorry, author made a huge inconsistency in his character that isn’t believable at all. Even in effort to make him make mistakes, to get readers to hate him, him being in his position, having grown up with Leila, he would not end up /this/ dumb. It isn’t realistically possible.
