Remember since she was a child she was groomed to be the Duchess so it’s difficult emotionally (mainly because of how she thought of them as her own parents), not to mention if she left with no plan she would be on the streets. Her other family doesn’t want her so her being able to get this job would mean she could finally leave that a hole.
