She is thinking very much like an abuse victim (which she is) and it technically is those two men who have forced her into her current situation (she has worked hard to make her situation better but she is still very vulnerable)
He isn’t really helping, he’s gotten her attached to himself and he’s putting her in a dangerous situation every time he has sex with her, knowing full well that if she turns out pregnant with anyone but the elf emperor’s child she will be killed for treason!!! Yet he has the audacity to guilt her over taking pills to prevent pregnancy and protect her life!?!
He really doesn’t deserve her and yes she is having a lie about a lot of things to protect him and the emperor. She’s already being tormented and I honestly don’t know how she is managing because I would have fallen apart or given up on both men completely (I know she is starved for love and affection so I understand why she is so susceptible to their game of tug of war, manipulating and guilt tripping her)
