…wait. So the emperor and the empress practically wrote off the only prince and heir (who is actually competent and does his job) because of a “rumor” and a “secret investigation” that resulted in nothing without actually talking to the prince about the incident? At all?

Oh wow, talk about a thorough investigation. Didn’t even bother to talk with the person at the center of it to get the scope of the situation. And there is no evidence? Not one? And then they just twiddled their thumbs and showed their heads in the sand ignoring the issue like they weren’t causing a whole inheritance crisis and instability based on rumors and NO EVIDENCE?!!…They are either utterly senile or trying to destabilize the country and usurp the succession for personal gain. There is simply no other excuse for this level of stupidity.

Tbh I feel sorry for the prince. Imagine finding out that your father is this much of an incompetent idiot and apparently cared for you so little that he didn’t consider you worthy of a conversation. And he set you aside (without telling you!) because of a rumor and 0 evidence. Oh and lets not forget that he did his best to have another kid with his new wife so they could completely replace you (and kill you because how else would you justify appointing a baby and replacing a fully grown, competent and already established crown prince?)
