I think this is the most empowering chapter I’ve read in a long long time.
As an empress she would become a political pawn as nobles/royal women have no real power in this world vs a high ranking knight and marchioness so I absolutely understand her not wanting to change her current position.
Also as a lawyer who worked family law for a while, loved her clarifying not abandoning her son but sending him to be raised by his (equally qualified and loving) father, which is a super valid option but even today society do not understand and criticize women for doing this, which I think is horrible.
Hope Lucius can change their society to make more equal things for women, Paul and all the other girls in the story absolutely deserve the effort.

Can someone please slap some sense into paulina!!! She needs to wake up her greedyness and pride and indecisiveness is getting in the way of her ultimate happiness yes I get she has accomplished soo much as a female knight but can’t she understand if she becomes the Empress she will open up a future and set the path for many woman who will have the courage to follow their dreams as she has she can become a light of hope for them but instead 😒 she got a hard head and can’t see the big picture she keeps doubting the man who loves her and neglecting her son wtf is she thinking 😮💨 soo frustrating
