Hello hello! It’s been awhile right? I haven’t done a midnight review in a long time, why? Cuz life is too hard sometimes, but here I am. Tis I your lovely not so know host Mika<3 and today's subject of mass scrutiny: Empress of Ashes. Gonna start off by saying this is so far as of episode 30, is a 4/10. And the ONLY reason it's a 4/10 is because you get the point of view of the ML, but that doesn't last long. The author likes to do this thing where he let's us in on the ML and FL thoughts but then jumbles them all together so you have no idea what to think because BOTH of them are having horrible thoughts. ML: Douche bag that is trying to take the FL again clearly seeing her fight against it. FL: She REFUSES to hear out the ML. She can decide if she wants to leave AFTER hearing what he has to say but "nOOoOo!! He made a huge mistake in my past life so he's horrible again." Now how she thinks is understandable but he has tried MULTIPLE TIMES to tell her what he's planning but she just doesn't wanna listen. And that's where the ML sucks, he should have let her go as soon as she refused multiple times to not hear him out. I have no negative thoughts on the plot because its actually really good, but the characters just make it insanely hard to read. There ya go, my first Midnight Review ™ in like 4 months so enjoy if you made it this far.

This one deserves more love than it gets just because it’s a romance fantasy in the perspective of the ML. The FL kinda annoys me but she does seem like she’s getting better. (Midnight Reviews™ coming soon…)
