Honestly, the FL is flipping stupid. She is stupid, she is stupid. The author did a 360 on her character. Now, she’s such a marysue that she even helps and worries about people who tried to get her harmed or killed. Her sister and the princess. The prince even warned her, the tests are about who wants the crown. And the FL babbles about wanting to make the princess love herself. That wasn’t the time or place to play therapist you flipping idiot. She is drawing unnecessary attention to the princess who is too stupid for that position anyways. Oddly enough then the FL won’t stand up fir herself. Like you are okay causing MORE power trouble for the princess but won’t stand up for yourself against your own family? Make it make sense.

I blame the writer because these issues are being forced into the story to keep ramming it down our throats about how smart and good the FL is. She keeps flip-floping. One minute she’s just an illegitimate child so she can only do this or that, the next she is causing issues with the princess, Empress, and princes. She has zero issue with getting beat for the greater good. When logically, they would have killed her off but since she’s got plot armor, they just keep beating and yelling at her.
