the whole “trust” thing throw me for a loop when it popped up. 1 she never wanted to be a trainer for his place cause she knew it comes with problems hence the reason she didnt join the other in trying to tame kazen. 2 he forced her to become his trainer by going behind her back and clearing up what was going on at the orphanage she loved and bringing her director/her mother to persuade her into taking the job. if anything she shouldnt be trusting him with his shady ways, if he cant even trust her when he held her by a rope and took her with him thats just his problem. and im sure kazen can tell those who have bad intentions see he grew up with the duke hence the reason he liked litia after that incident.
thats my take on all of this.
