It is sad that he is not her father. She wasn’t the child who bawled her eyes out because her father treated her poorly. He is just a girl with a normal life who is only being empathetic about Juvelian’s story.

Now after reading a few chapters I can understand she misunderstood a lot of things her father give her the sword to protect herself while they were overthrowing the empire and Max was coming to get her out the cell not torture her. So many misunderstandings all around
