So yeah the emperor totally used her mom to make that contract, I mean the scene where Amelia is crying that she ruined Legis comes to mind. I also guesses that the emperor used the ring to control him like at the princesses ball and kinda sent him after them so she told Juvel to hide and that he was a monster because he wasn’t in his right mind and then he ended up killing his wife. If that’s it then I swear the second that contract is up I will reach through the screen and choke the emperor!
