I’m gonna do with he doesn’t feel hurt, he’s seeing it from an objective point of view. i still think the author made a mistake, he didnt seal his feelings, just the ones of love and empathy, because he fore sure is suspicious and feels bitterness and hatred just fine, the opposite of love is not hate, but indifference

Guys remember, he literally removed all of his emotions. He’s entirely apathetic right now and has only been deteriorating since getting rid of his emotions (leading to the murders in the og novel). I get that he’s being shitty right now, but he has every reason not to trust the situation right now.
Their story is a tragedy in the process of being fixed, you just have to ride it out as the story progresses.
